FAQ

What is the process, from start to finish, for booking your services?

After sending me an email or message on my contact page, we will schedule a phone call or video conference call to discuss your plans and needs. Once we figure out what services and packages are right for you, we will discuss logistical considerations and details. Once we've reached a consensus, you will be sent a digital contract to sign where you'll be asked to put down a deposit to secure the dates and services. Payment arrangements can be made, but generally final payment is due two weeks prior to the event.

I will then go to your destination a couple days before your wedding, event, or vacation, to scout the areas, venue(s), and plan shots; as we always said in the military, prior planning prevents poor performance. Those days do not count as billable photography days.

After the event, you will be given the edited, high-resolution photographs in a downloadable gallery. See the question below on the timeline and turnaround time on photographs and deliverables.

What is your typical timeline?

Because of the variety of services I offer and the dynamic nature of destination, lifestyle, and travel photography, the typical timeline can vary quite a bit depending on the situation. I am able to tailor my services and timelines for deliverables to meet your individual needs. As a guideline, I arrive to your destination several days before your event, to do scouting conduct reconnaissance of the area and venue(s) in question. The general timelines for deliverables are as follows:

For weddings and destination events, photographs are usually delivered within four weeks, with a handful of selected photographs delivered within 24-48 hours for social media purposes.

For vacation and lifestyle photography, an agreed upon selection of photographs are delivered at the conclusion of each day for social media purposes, with the remaining photographs delivered within 4 weeks.

For commercial and brand photography, photographs are usually delivered within one week.

For collaborations, the timeline depends on the specific project.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, flexible payment arrangements are available.

Where are your services available?

My services are available anywhere in the world. Thanks to a robust travel network I've spent years cultivating, I am often able to handle and arrange my own ultra-low-cost transportation to your destination/location in Asia and Western Europe, particularly Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Austria, and the United Kingdom.

What payment methods are available?

I accept all major credit cards and online payment services.

Are you interested in collaboration?

Yes! For me, photography is, first and foremost, a passion and an art. Whether it is simply building and expanding my portfolio, collaborating on a project that is creatively and intellectually engaging, or collaborating on a project in a location that I'm interested in, I would love to discuss your project or idea.

Do you offer special rates for military and veterans?

Yes, special rates are available for active and retired military and veterans of U.S. and allied nations. Please inquire.

What is lifestyle and vacation photography?

Lifestyle and vacation photography consists of a photographer documenting and capturing, both photographically and videographically, moments from your travels and vacations, freeing you from the burden of having to choose between documenting and experiencing. You get to enjoy your travels and vacation, undistracted, while also enjoying professional level photography for your social media.

How do the logistics of your travel work?

As an expert traveler, I have developed ways of traveling very inexpensively around the world. I'll be able to better discuss travel fees and logistics once I know where your event is.

Is your business insured?

Yes, my business is registered and fully insured, and I can furnish that certificate of insurance to necessary venues and third parties.

What kind of gear to do you use?

It is the photographer that is responsible for creating the image, not the equipment they use. With that said, sometimes professional results require professional gear, whether it's due to reliability, redundancy, or technical performance. I use Canon EOS R6 Mark II and R8 bodies and Canon EL-5 Speedlites. For lenses, I use the Canon RF 24-105mm F2.8 L IS USM Z, the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM, the Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM, the Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens, the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens, and the Sigma 40mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens. I also use an iPhone 15 Pro Max for social media content creation upon request.
